The Rat (born after the Chinese New Year date in 2020, 2008, 1996, 1984, 1972, 1960, 1948 and 1936) can expect a much better year this year than the one behind them. However, they’ll need to practise self-restraint, hard work, and self-care this year to get what they want. The Rat’s horoscope this year really depends on how much effort they put into each area of their life. Express.co.uk chatted to Marites Allen, Celebrity Feng Shui and Chinese Zodiac Expert to find out what the Rat horoscope is for 2022.

Overall forecast

This overall forecast is valid for this year 2022 (Year of the Water Tiger) starting from February 1, 2022, to January 21, 2023.

Marites said: “Good tidings await you due to the auspicious Victory star present in your chart this year.

“This is remarkably more favourable compared to the previous year, 2021.

“Exercise self-restraint for the first half of the year for a productive head start.

“Some unfavourable stars may throw some challenges but continue to keep your cool and apply the ‘less talk, fewer mistakes’ strategy and watch those issues fade away.”

Wealth

The major source of income for Rat people this year will still be mainly from full-time jobs and businesses, Marites said.

She suggested: “Improving your career attitude will help you attain your goals and build wealth.

“Constantly switching jobs, unless they are guaranteed, will do no good within this period.

“Thus, stick to a sure and stable job to avoid income worries during this trying time.”

Health

A lacklustre attitude towards your health will lead to unproductivity this year, Rat.

You need to make your health a priority during this time to foster growth and increase productivity.

Marites said: “Staying hydrated and having an excellent sleeping pattern will greatly improve your overall mental, physical, and emotional being.

“Implement the right choices in your daily diet and don’t forget regular exercises.”
